Word Vomit

Here are some photos and random happenings that I didn’t blog about but am now remembering about my trip. Sidenote: The trek back home was uneventful. I made it home safely.
I had an incredible time visiting my sister and spending time with her and her sweet little family. Tara and I didn’t grow up together so our sister bonding time was really limited. This whole trip was dedicated to sisterly bonding and I loved every minute of it! I have an AMAZING sister who is the greatest influence and example I could ask for.
Since it was Christmas time we made TONS of cookies. I am talking hundreds of homemade, delicious chocolate chip, sugar, no bake, and jello cookies. We went to town. I have never made so many cookies in my entire existence. And no we didn’t eat all of the cookies, we handed them out to people in Tara’s ward.
Since Tara and Jeremy moved to Australia we haven’t been able to watch the Vampire Diaries together. So we all vowed not watch any of the fourth season until we were all together. The second night I was there we were already caught up on TVD. We are obsessed. We know this and we are okay with this.

Movie of the month (thanks to me) Pitch Perfect. We watched that movie at least five times during my whole entire visit. And I played the soundtrack at least a billion times. Oops.

Jam Packed Day - My Last Day

The Darling Harbour is where the party is at. As you can see from this picture all three fun attractions (Madame Tussauds, Sydney Wildlife Park, and Darling Harbour Aquarium) are built right next to each other, brilliant!
Since we hit up the wax museum yesterday we needed to hit up the other two before I exit the country. First stop: The Wildlife Park! Biggest, scariest, meanest crocodile is held captive here. This crocodile was creeping on some neighborhood in Perth and it was eating their animals. The people were afraid that the crocodile was going to pull a dingo and eat their babies; so they petitioned for authorities to capture the croc and contain him in a zoo. And here he is now, living the dream in the Sydney Wildlife Park. They tried to breed this croc with a lady friend but he killed and ATE her. The zoo thought that maybe they didn’t put an aggressive female in there with him so they tried again with a very aggressive female croc. And guess what? He killed and ate her too so now he just lives by his lonesome.

Up next was the aquarium. Sharks! Manatees! Oh my! That’s all I have to say. Manatees are so ugly. And whenever I see one I can’t help but think of this.

Our last event was the Sydney Eye Tower. Before entering the building there was a guy going to town, playing his didgeridoo. We couldn’t just walk on through and ignore the lovely music coming from that beloved instrument. So we stopped and watched the show and of course Tate and Teagan had to show off their wicked dance moves. My nephews are adorable.
Dat view doe

P. Sherman 42 Wallaby Way Sydney

If P. Sherman 42 Wallaby Way was a real place, this would be the place. But instead of a dentist office it’s just the Taronga Zoo. Well played Disney, well played.  After taking a water taxi around P. Sherm I got to go to the Sydney Opera House! After visiting Australia I have developed an even stronger love for Finding Nemo. I thought that was impossible but apparently not.

The tour around the Opera House was PHENOMENAL. I loved it. If you ever have the opportunity to go, I highly suggest you take that tour. Not only was it cool to walk around and be in a place that is so widely recognized but the tour was very informational and fun. I would share with you what I learned but I’ll let you do the research for yourself. Let’s be honest I would probably butcher the story and make it less cool.

I almost forgot to mention that we also went to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. Wax figures creep me out; probably because of that stupid movie House of Wax.

Sydney!

Tara convinced me to get this super cool pass that definitely puts the Pass of All Passes to shame. This pass allows you to get into several different attractions. Basically every activity we did in Sydney was because of that pass.

Almost all of this info is incorrect. It makes me lol.

On the way to Sydney we stopped off at one of the attractions where you get to walk on the treetops. My mind was blown away at how pretty the view was. Congrats Australia for being one the prettiest and coolest places I have ever been too.

Our first day in Sydney was chill we spent it walking around the city and ended with all of us huddled together on the couch watching Finding Nemo.
