Bonding Time

The Spring semester has ended and summer has begun! To kick it off Robby and I planned a trip to Bryce Canyon, Zion, and our last stop St. George to see the grandparents.
Robby and I haven't had much brotherly/sisterly bonding times so this was finally our chance. It was a fun time and I'm glad we had the opportunity to get to know each other better. I have been blessed with some amazing siblings!

We spent most of our first day in Bryce hiking in the dark and kinda getting lost. We couldn't see where we were going and took the horse trail and hiked more than we should have. So the next day we hiked the rim and enjoyed the beauty that we have been blessed with. After that we headed out to Zion. We got there late and didn't have time to set up our tent and just slept in the car. It's awkward waking up to people staring at you.

The last time I hiked the narrows I was like five. Seriously. I remember the water being really high and feeling like I was going to float away. We didn't make it far because I was so little but I remember going! It was cool to go back and relive the experience and make it further than when I first hiked it.

Chaaaaaaaange

I was Facebook stalking myself the other day (because that's normal, right?) and I saw a note I published consisting of a questionnaire. One of the questions asked what my sign was. I  answered with the truth,Virgo. My sister commented on my note saying that her husband is a Virgo as well, and stated that we aren't risk takers. I was taken back by that comment. I never really thought of myself as a someone who didn't take risks. But lets be honest. I haven't had any "risky" opportunities placed before me. So I haven't really taken a risk until my  friend Liz posted about a job opening on Facebook. That doesn't sound risky, but it is because the job is located in Philadelphia. Liz used to nanny for this family last year and she posted about them needing a new nanny. Without hesitation I responded to  Liz and stated that I was interested. I did this on impulse. I wasn't even thinking. Liz recommended me to the family, within the next week I got an interview over the phone. I got the job. I am happily announcing that I am moving to Philadelphia in August.
